Close of Ephesus in Turkey, Samos is a green and mountainous island which produces a famous liqueur wine.
The west, south-west in particular has the most beautiful coast. Several archaeological curiosities are : the tunnel of Eupalinos (ancient aqueduct underground large of more than 1300m) close to Pithagorio; ruins of Heraion, sanctuary dedicated to Era whose temple measured more of the double of the size of the Parthenon of Athens.
